Tammy's test...

Help! God has told me to do something. It involves (as usual) an enormous test of faith.

Why is it that God always asks you to do what doesn't appear to be ... right? At least at the time it looks like He's got to be crazy!

But I know that He's in control - how do I walk through this without so much fear?TB

  1. Most people are anxious before a test. My advice is simple, but not easy...turn off the fear and turn on the faith. Faith is trust in what is not seen. You can't see the future and that is what is making you fearful. Trust that God holds the future and the plan that gets you there. Let Him show Himself strong and your faith will be increased and you won't be so anxious the next "test time"...and you can be sure, as a follower of Christ, there will be a next time. Trust in God, you will not be disappointed.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your request be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6

  2. Thanks for the scripture Brian. I keep repeating it over and over again. There is still fear...but it's also much better knowing that I'm in God's will by being obedient.

  3. Well God certainly got my attention. It's amazing how He can hold a mirror in front of your face and show you just how amazingly "disgusting" you are, all the while saying "I love you so much, despite who you are".

This test isn't over yet, but at least I'm looking in the right direction.

Romans 7:15 - I do not understand what I do.
For what I want to do - I do not do, but what I hate, I do.
